As a Maine author, I am passionate about family, writing, and education. I live in Mid-Coast Maine. My loves include many things, but primarily are family, good friends, writing, and walking the beautiful Maine trails. I love the coastal areas of Maine. I gave birth to four children. My youngest child is now an angel. She passed away resultant from substance use disorder December 16/2016. My first published work is a direct result of the trauma involving her loss. I have eleven grandchildren and they are my life! They keep me grounded, and I love them passionately! I grew up in the small town of Winthrop, Maine. I spent a lot of time at the library while growing up, and it was my home away from home where I discovered mystery, romance, Edgar Rice Burrows, and a wide world waiting to be explored. I am passionate about literacy and volunteer weekly at my local elementary school. During Covid-19 when the children were involved in remote learning, I designed video book presentations for kindergarten students, inviting them to virtually listen I read them the story. I am a University of Maine graduate where I discovered “my voice.” My interests are varied which caused me difficulty in choosing a major. I studied creative writing, speech and language therapy, special education, and library science. Life continues to be a journey of self-discovery and becoming. The aging process is a continuous revelation as I realize we are always discovering something about ourselves and others that has hidden away waiting to be revealed to us at when we least expect it.
